FAQ’s

Do  you use or prescribe any medications?
No. Only psychiatrists or other medically qualified professionals can prescribe medications.

Who is it for?
This services is open to everyone aged over 18. Whether you are married, living together, in a same-sex relationship, separated, divorced or single.

What if I am already in another type of therapy?
Lets talk about it. It is probably fine.

What happens if I have a complaint about the counselling?
Obviously firstly please see if we can talk about it. But if that doesn’t work for you please contact one of my professional membership’s. They are setup to manage a professional complaints process.

Can I come on my own?
Yes. Whether you are single, or if you have a partner who doesn’t want to come.

Do I have to be referred to this service?
No. Just call me on 07500 582 526

Is the counselling confidential?
Yes, unless someone’s personal safety is at serioius risk. This is discussed at the initial consultation.

What if violence or abuse is an issue?
In this case working with both partners together may not be safe. Here I would help each partner get individual specialist support either from myself or as appropriate another agency.

How bad does my relationship have to be to come?
Research shows that the quality of our close relationships influences most aspects of our life. Some come to address failing relationships. Others come to help them move onto the next level  or meet personal goals or challenges in their lives.
